The chart below shows how the attributes given to Allah in the Qur'an are ascribed to our Lord Jesus in the Bible.
Allah: “He is the First and the Last, the Evident and the Immanent: and He has full knowledge of all things.” (Surah 57:3) | Jesus: “When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last,” (Revelation 1:17) |
Allah: “To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: It is He Who gives Life and Death; and He has Power over all things.” (Surah 57:2) (cf. 3:189; 19:40) | Jesus: “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” (Matthew 28:18) |
Allah: “Whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare the Praises and Glory of Allah,- the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.” (Surah 62:1) | Jesus: “But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,” (Acts 3:14) (cf. Luke 1:35) |
Allah: "Our Lord! Thou art He that will gather mankind Together against a day about which there is no doubt; for Allah never fails in His promise." (Surah 3:9) | Jesus: ““When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.” (Matthew 25:31-32) |
Allah: “Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth” (Surah 24:35) | Jesus: “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
|
Allah: “And those who, having done something to be ashamed of, or wronged their own souls, earnestly bring Allah to mind, and ask for forgiveness for their sins,- and who can forgive sins except Allah?- and are never obstinate in persisting knowingly in (the wrong) they have done.” (Surah 3:135) | Jesus: “But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”” (Mark 2:10) |
